Fresh sage & mint right from my garden have been harvested, dried & deep infused into organic olive & avocado oils, and blended with Organic Amla oil. These plants can be great for scalp issues as well as all-over winter skin nourishment.

Sage, known as Salvia officinalis, comes from the Latin word salvare, which means “to heal”. Common garden sage is a common pantry herb, but has a prolific history in health usage. It has a stimulating, heating, and drying energy, and in the herbal medicinal realm, is a well-known cold germ and flu fighter, having particularly potent antimicrobial, respiratory antiseptic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, astringent, mucolytic (mucous thinning), antispasmodic, and vulnerary (tissue healing) properties.
Sage’s combination of astringent and antiseptic actions makes it ideal for the skin, especially moist skin conditions where you see an excess of secretions. It helps to tighten, constricting excess sweat and oils. It may help reduce inflammation and protects against infection, which is helpful with cuts, burns, & other conditions where tissue is irritated.
Sage is slightly warming and has anti-spasmodic actions, which help to ease tense or aching muscles.  Sage belongs to the Lamiaceae family,  like Rosemary, and this family is known for its rosmarinic acid which is a stimulant that aids in hair growth.  The moisturizing and conditioning properties of sage infused oil help soothe irritation, prevent dandruff, and at the same time cleanse the scalp and remove the greasy feeling caused by excessive oil.
Sage infused oil is helpful in warming tired muscles, while at the same time soothing and calming skin irritations.
When massaged into the skin from head to toe on a daily basis, sage-infused oil may aid in strengthening the body’s immune system, supporting its defenses against outside invasion of the three main sources of disease: bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The oil helps conditions the skin, keeping it soft, elastic, and healthy. Sage infusion is believed to relieve muscle and joint pain associated with inflammation and other symptoms of arthritis and strains, and is thus suitable to use as a massage oil. It may also help soothe the redness, soreness, and itching that is characteristic of skin conditions such as dermatitis.

Peppermint oil is an antimicrobial, vasodilating, and anti-inflammatory agent, all reasons that it is reported to boost hair growth, and may also help prevent and relieve dandruff, dermatitis, and itching.

Spearmint is naturally anti-fungal and antibacterial, which may help with certain scalp conditions including dandruff. Spearmint may also stimulate the hair follicles and increase blood flow, improving circulation and oxygen distribution needed to strengthen hair and help it grow more quickly. Spearmint’s antifungal action may help tame dandruff-causing fungus population and get the ecology of your head back into balance.
Menthol’s soothing and pain-relieving properties are well known and have contributed to spearmint’s long-standing reputation among medicinal plants. In fact, spearmint leaves were used in ancient times to relieve itching, soreness, and pain caused by insect bites, rashes, wounds, and all manner of skin irritations. Mint leaves contain chemical compounds called phenolic acids, which are known antioxidants, which are crucial to repairing cellular damage caused by free radicals. Antioxidants help boost your skin’s health at the cellular level. In people with dandruff, this can help promote healthy regeneration of the scalp’s skin and hair. Spearmint contains natural chemicals known to reduce swelling, relax muscles, and help calm the body. These include caffeic acid, a type of phenolic acid. Spearmint can be a way to break the cycle of itching, scratching, and skin and hair damage.

Amla Oil is derived from the fruit of the amla plant, commonly referred to as "Indian gooseberry" or gooseberry. It is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and hydrator.  It may help soothe scalp inflammation, regulate oil production, hydrate and protect the hair shaft.  In general, anyone with dry or damaged hair could benefit from using this oil, specially those who have an oily scalp, but still have dry, brittle hair.

Olive Oil is anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory, with vitamins A, D, K & E, squalene & rich in fatty acids. Reduces water loss from skin.

Avocado Oil offers beta carotene, protein, lecithin, fatty acids, and vitamins A, D, and E that can help moisturize and protect your skin from damaging UV rays and also increase collagen production.
