Vanilla Salve is a surprising addition to my line. I set out to create a salve for my son, who loves the smell of vanilla. I love vanilla when I'm baking, but had never really desired the scent outside of food. But once I made this salve, with the beautiful scents of raw ethnically harvested beeswax, organic cocoa butter and vanilla essential oil, I was converted.

It smells heavenly, like fancy vanilla bean ice cream. But you can wear it. Perfect for kids too with its simplicity and wholesomeness. This was the second product created for my line, and though it's simple it is packed with hydrating and protective qualities, sinks in beautifully and leaves me feeling soft and cozy.

Jojoba Oil hydrates the skin and has antioxidant & anti-inflammatory properties. It is helpful in reducing redness and calming skin. As a wax ester, jojoba oil mimics natural sebum, so it helps condition & seal in moisture, softening and smoothing your skin. When combined with beeswax, it also helps protect the skin barrier, reducing trans-epidermal water loss and sealing in moisture.

Cocoa Butter is a rich fatty emollient that provides a protective barrier on the skin to help retain moisture.

Beeswax is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, and will help help seal in moisture without clogging pores.

Vanilla  has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to soothe and calm irritated skin. Vanilla has been used to reduce skin infections and assist in wound & burn healing. It contains Vanillin, a polyphenol with powerful anti-oxidant properties. Anti-oxidants help to protect against free radical damage and the effects of environmental stresses on the skin. Vanilla also contains B vitamins, including niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, and pantothenic acid.  All of which help to maintain healthy looking skin.

1. Remove lid: Ensure your hands and the area around the jar are dry before opening to prevent introducing water.
2. Scoop: Use dry fingers or a spoon to remove a small amount of salve.
3. Apply: Gently massage onto any area needing moisture, softening, or protection.
