For this small holiday batch, I wanted to create a simple, comforting cleansing bar using some of the gentlest botanicals I work with. Calendula and chamomile have long been used in traditional herbal skincare for the way they nurture delicate, easily-reactive skin. Their presence in this bar gives the lather a soft, soothing quality, and they’re also what naturally color the soap, no added dyes, fragrance, or essential oils.

Because several members of my family live with coconut and tree-nut allergies, I built this formula to be completely free of both. Every oil was chosen intentionally, with an emphasis on organic sourcing and a low-PUFA profile to support a balanced, comfortable cleanse without tightness.

I provided all the raw ingredients from my own studio inventory and collaborated with Keegan of White Rabbit Soap Apothecary, whose cold-process expertise helped bring this bar to life. She crafted the batch using the botanicals, oils, and goals I mapped out, creating a bar that feels both gentle and grounded, familiar in spirit with the rest of my line, but with its own quiet personality.

This is a soft-launch test batch as I continue developing future cleansing bars for my upcoming rebrand. I’m sharing this one for the holidays so you can experience it with me, and, as always, your feedback will help shape what comes next.
