A richly restorative salve designed to calm, cool, and support your skin during the high season of bug bites, sun exposure, scrapes, and skin flare-ups. This small-batch balm was originally commissioned by a local acupuncturist as a soothing balm for a young child's burn.
"We used the burn balm after my daughter burned her hand with scalding hot water at camp. It was easy to apply 3 times a day, kept it from drying out, had herbs to aid in healing, made it easy to massage it to keep scar tissue from forming and it smelled great."
Made with a powerful infusion of organic lavender, calendula, yarrow, plantain, echinacea root, and St. John's wort in jojoba and avocado oil, this balm delivers deep nourishment and anti-inflammatory support. Mango butter and ethically harvested beeswax create a soft, protective cushion on the skin, while lavender and peppermint essential oils provide added relief and a light herbal scent.
Packaged in a 2 oz gold aluminum tin, generous enough to last, compact enough to carry.

Without Preservatives
Formulation
All HANDS products are anhydrous, meaning they are made without water. This allows formulations to be made without preservatives, emulsifiers or thickeners. As a result, these products may be a thicker/less watery consistency than commercial products you with which you are accustomed. This also allows the active botanicals to be more available to your skin, and presents the cleanest formulas possible. As a result, extra care also needs to be taken to not allow water to enter the jar.
