Prepare: Gather a bowl, wooden spoon, and towel.
Mix: Scoop the desired amount of mask into the bowl and mix with warm water to your preferred consistency.
Apply: Apply to your face, avoiding the eye area.
Mist or Exfoliate: As the mask begins to dry, mist with water or gently massage to exfoliate.
Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with warm water or a damp washcloth.

As a result, these products may be a thicker/less watery consistency than commercial products you with which you are accustomed.  This also allows the active botanicals to be more available to your skin, and presents the cleanest formulas possible. As a result, extra care also needs to be taken to not allow water to enter the jar.
